Look at the positive aspect.  If you had not quit you may not have looked as hard for another job.  In which case, you could have been stuck there, miserable, for a long time.  Now, you have more of an incentive to get motivated to find a better job.  Many people get stuck in jobs that they hate because it's just too easy to stay and continue collecting a paycheck.  At the end of the work day they are too worn out to look for a better job, and fall deeper into the rut.

Maybe working out in the heat isn't bad in Boston, but the humidity down here is brutal when your trying to do any type of cardio.  I'm casting my vote for the couch.
