Second time since as long as I can remember I missed the Calgary Stampede. Working seven days a week just doesn't help. I wasn't about to head down at like 8 or 9 at night. By that time, all that's really left to do is play games, ride the rides, and eat the completely unhealthy, but rather tasty deep friend mystery of the year. I think this year it's deep fried Pickles. I think so far my favorite idea was the deep fried coke of a couple years back. I love just being able to wander around and check out the shows and the stables where they keep all the animals. And when I can afford it, I love to go see the rodeo and chuck wagon races. Best part of the show.
Oh well, there's always next year. Next year also being the 100th Stampede. Rumors say the provincial and the federal government are both putting some good cash towards sprucing up the area and show. Definitely won't be missing next year.

It's definitely a blast. Greatest outdoor show on earth. Or so it's called. The entire city turns into a big party.
