I wasn't clinically depressed after Cheryl died but looking back after a year I can see that I was definitely at a lot lower point than I am now. I miss her every minute of every day but I am starting to think of getting on with life without her. After reading a recent post by Maxi, I realised 40 is too young to be...

Busy, busy, busy. Sorry I haven't been around much but it has been non stop for the last 6 weeks. I thought things would settle down in February but now I am aiming for March.

I can't get this song out of my head.

Which is really embarrassing when you sing the chorus at work.

I love Sarah!! That song should go to number one!
phantasy:
I started an appreciation thread in Silliness for Sarah using that clip as the first post. Thought you might like to check it out. Hopefully people will start posting lots of awesome Sarah stuff!

Telstra took the ADSL code off my phone line last Wednesday when I finally cancelled Cheryl's mobile and transferred to account to my name. One week later....

I switched my sim card from my phone which was rather worn from wear to Cheryl's mobile. I experienced a wonderful surprise in the process - I found 4 recordings on the phone which Cheryl made with Emily...

Can't say I am really looking forward to 2008 but I figure it can't be any worse than 2007.

I really hope this year brings you many good things. You deserve them. kiss

A Delia Smith, Nigella and Maeve O'Meara 3 some ... no 4 some, forgot myself, would be heaven.

Delia would be the dominate one, "now whip those eggs".

I really haven't got back into work as we're off to, ..... "and the winner is .... Sid a knee" next week for a week to house sit in Rose bay.

Bummer wink

Sorry but I am not in the mood to be social. Things are fairly tough at the moment and there is still another week to go. Hope you all had an enjoyable Christmas and have a happy new year.

Not so sure the time was enjoyable ... hectic.

Though, it was good to (briefly) have some time with our new little girl to ourselves.

For me it was a Jamie Oliver, no, more Gordon Ramsay (did I say Tourettes?).
I cooked Xmas eve (my family, Xmas day (in-laws), 27th (wife b'day).
That will be 5 years in 6 that I have cooked.

Everything went swimmingly well. Being a Virgo, I have to get it all right.
I did a baked ham (hard work, but comes out fantastic),
rib-eye on the bone (glorious taste),
rolled pork (perfect crackling),
seafood (don't you hate the cleaning up).

Everyone seemed happy - next year I'm doing a cold buffet.
Fuck-em.

Pop-up on the radar when you feel social.
bridehead:
Are you ok dear?

**hugs to you**

Hang in there because i want us all to have dinner again when the spazzy season has finished doing it's spazzy thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So much shit happening, so little time to record it.

Did Emily's 2 birthday parties the weekend before last. Both went well. I worked off Cheryl's notes from last year but I was still pretty proud that I was able to organise everything single handed.

Went to Spick & Specks last night. A bit of a guilty pleasure. A great night, I totally forgot that...

Kid's parties can be sooo stressful! Especially cake making!

I am all organised for Christmas, it's so time consuming writing cards and wrapping presents.
kye:
It is amazing. Words can't describe how well the exhibition has been put together.

I'd love to hear your thoughts after you've been.

Daniel's birthday was on the 26th November. I am soooo buying the cake next year!

Ah, who am I kidding, I'll end up making some ridiculously complicated cake again.

I'm not in South Yarra.. or even Melbourne. That was just day 3 or my Melbourne journey the other week.

I didn't want to mention SG in my application. I figure that I'll see how it goes, and if I need to mention it, than I will smile

Back from Singapore. Every day was like groundhog day - visit 1 lot of relatives in the AM followed by nap time (for Emily) in the afternoon and dinner with another lot of relatives in the evening. Rinse and repeat each day - only the relatives change (sometimes). I find it funny in Singapore sometimes because I stand out so much as the gui lo....

God is certainly hitting me with everything that He has. I went to my cousin's wedding the Saturday before last which was gut churning enough, evoking memories of my own wedding. Cheryl & I would love to pick other weddings apart in order to prove that no-one planned a wedding as perfect as ours. Of course that just had me wanting to turn to her...

I'm so sorry, that must have been a really hard day for you.

December is approaching so rapidly it's scary! It feels like Christmas was just last month! My days are blurring into one as I am immersing myself in study and, surprisingly, really enjoying it. What are you doing for Christmas?

I understand what you mean too, I feel like I do have it all. I think maybe that's why I panic sometimes, because I know how easily it can be lost.

just bring to teh bbq whatever you want to eat/drink, i'll post something in the thread soon (i got a horrible gastro virus in sydney puke )

Just too busy at work this week.

I am looking forward to Saturday. I am doing a huge spring clean of the house. Can't wait to get rid of all the shit.
brett54:
.... particularly before the police arrive wink
phantasy:
I love a good clean out. I have to do it often, especially with two kids, it builds up so fast! I'd say we have a huge spring clean about every four months. St. Vinnie's loves us!

How is everything in your world?

Fucking hay fever!!! My nose has been going HAYWIRE for the last week.

No worries mate, I decided the phone I was using was a bit long in the tooth so I picked up a newer model and so far so good, pretty good bargain at $130 with $200 worth of calls included.

6.75 hours of standing, lifting, selling and stopping kids stealing stock. Working for free. What fun!!!

I had a bizarre conversation about music with the 2 soccer mums working with me. It is very hard to describe indie music with people who think Michael Buble is the cutting edge of modern music. One of the Mouse's teacher's has a great chest piece work in progress...

Didn't know about it.
