Today while I was driving to work, a motorcycle cop pulled up next to me in the carpool lane. He then starts to hell something to me through is bullhorn at 65 miles an hour. Out of everything he said all I made out was Arizona and Did you hear me? When I told him, no he gave up on using his bullhorn and just yell over all the traffic. He was informing me I needed to change my license over to an Arizona plates from my New York plates and that is was a $600 fine if I didnt. He gave me like an interrogation after I told him I was a full time college student and the whole time we are going 65mph.
Through this whole thing I just kept thinking to myself that this is really not a safe thing to do, so I start to slow down and the cop yells at me NO NO, speed up. I am just amused at the local law enforcement, where I can get a ticket for have my radio too loud or having underglow because it is a distraction but they can distract me from driving during rush hour.
All I know is that was a definitely a unique way to start your day off. The highway cops in Az are very funny if you watch them sometimes. I watched one go from the carpool lane cross over 6 lanes towards the off ramp, I just thought he was getting off. Then he changed his mind apparently and went back to the carpool lane. Then went back and forth for a quarter mile. As I am told, he was trying to slow down traffic because there was an accident farther ahead but still that couple of minutes I just thought this cop was drunk and we should give him a field sobriety test.
I have to try to find humor while driving down the highways here, or I might actually hurt some random person who does not know how to drive. I am not going to start ranting about the driving skills of the majority here and sorry to anyone that can drive, that I might have offended.
