haha don't laugh. the lamp post is awesome... all these old guys who buy me drinks and dont make me feel uncomfortable.. and the bartenders are these old guys.. one wears really tight pants. and looks like he's smuggling a kielbasa on the left side. and he always tells me the same joke... their jukebox is pretty good though! i can play at least a good 5$ in it.. from clarence carter "strokin" to golden earring "Radar love"... sometimes i throw on a little Styx.. Queen.. Rod Stewart.. I take it easy listening and classic rock in there.. oh and you can't forget ending a set with a little Hank Williams Jr. "Women I've Never Had" or anything off of Louis Prima's album.
I uesd to hang out at La Entrada.. then some guy got tazered to death there a couple years ago... but it was awesome.. like 2$ drinks and and jalapeno poppers..
i've heard about PRL but haven't been there yet.. no arties.
used to drink at jakes when it was more biker and less upscale on hallandale beach blvd. my ex and i used to hang out at the billabong because our friend used to own it.. bands and over 100 different beers.. even lambic on tap.
oh a dive bar tour.. i grew up in the scene down here.. i could go on a dive bar tour up from miami all the way to west palm beach.. from fox's in south miami... to the plush pony in palm beach.. everything in between.. places that dont even exist anymore..
but glad to know you guys are into the dive bars too! can't wait to hang out.

The "brick" stuff you see is the wallpaper below it, which has some plant and insect art I replicated in the mural.
