For all the artistic people in the audience, check out ProgrammerMeetDesigner.com. It's a meeting house for programmers, designers, writers and entrepreneurs who want to contract work with each other.

If you're thinking about doing this kind of thing on the side, now's a great time to get yourself insinuated into the site. It's just a few weeks old.

I put up an ad last...

I saw a lady at Fred Meyer today who had a whole cart full of corn. She didn't even bother to bag it. It was just a cart 'o corn.

520 bridge traffic sucks. On weekdays, when our friends are off work and want to do things, we can't travel to Seattle or we'll get stuck in traffic. At least, between the hours of 4:00 and 7:30. As a consequence, we miss out on a lot of events.

I wish I had taken pictures of the Los Angeles area we lived in. Instead of trees,...

As part of my thirty updates in thirty days pledge to save SG, here's a video of NIN's closer, only, reimagined by a fan, and starring Spock and Kirk.

jesus_smash:
Thirty updates in thirty days? Who are you, Morgan Spurlock?

That's a pretty friggin sweet video.

And yes indeed, that picuture was taken on the Universal Studios escalater. And I took it myself "Dave Attel style", and didn't edit it one bit for angle and composition. I'm just that good. wink

At the gym this morning, there was a big crowd of angry ladies squaking around the front desk. Without warning us, the staff had fled in the middle of the night.

That whole gym, working-out thing...look where it got you. Slack! Slack!

When I was a kid, the Epcot sphere was the iconic symbol of Disney World. It was displayed in every ad, all grand and big. The pictures were always from the ground, looking up, so there wasn't a reference point. I grew up naturally believing that all of Epcot, or maybe even all of Disney World, was contained inside.

Many years later, Lankakitten and I...

They are, aren't they?

By the way, you or Lanka mentioned something about going to Coho a while back. I find it inconceivable that I work so close and haven't ever eaten there before. What say we go late next week or the week after?

Carcassonne looks like a delicious breakfast cereal!

Is that Oliver?

Clerks 2 looks totally and completely horrendous! And I am a huge fan and owner of the first. It would have to get a lot of great reviews from legit sources before I'd see it in the theater.

But by all means, let's hang out Saturday. The Doc works until evening, so until then all I had planned was packing and I hate packing.

After two weeks of aggravation, we finally got our car back from the body shop. I didn't even recognize it. It looked so shiny and new. They didn't repaint the car, did they?

No, they washed and waxed it.

Wednesday, I've got an appointment to talk to a doctor about possibly having ADD. That could be cool or lame. What if I come home with...

sounds like a good idea, but what is that tag cloud thing seen above... i do not like that.

is there a way to make tagging look like categories? i like having a list of categories, and then selecting from them. it is fine if the same thing is in multiple categories, but i don't want to have to come up with the words myself.

i'm a very orderly, list type person though, so i might be a bit more resistant then most.
