I have learned that the Kills recently recorded their 4th studio album near Benton Harbor, MI. I'm extremely excited that it will be released in April, but very depressed that I missed the opportunity to drive three hours to Benton Harbor and have a completely "chance" encounter with Alison and Jamie. wink I admire Mr. Hince for his musical and song writing skills. And Miss Mosshart...

What is criteria for determining when you have to leave a tip at restaurant?

For lunch today, the saddest Chinese girl in the world took my order at the carry-out restaurant. I swear that she was kidnapped from her family home in China and smuggled into America and forced to work in this tiny restaurant with three tables.

Ordering at the counter, Chicken w/ Black...

5x5, Generally I'm a very good tipper, bordering on overtipping. But my father-in-law is horrible, and I'm always afraid I'll be pegged guilty by association. Whenever we go out to eat, and I pay, but he insists on leaving the tip, he usually shorts the waitress. I can't stand it. So either I have to slip some extra cash in when he's not looking, or think of an excuse to go back to the table after we've got up to supplement his poor excuse for a tip. ha ha. I really should just call him out on it before he bust me adding the cash. But now it's more like a game. smile

I don't eat out very often so I usually tip rather generous. And upon occasion, I'll tip obnoxiously excessive just to see the look on the waitresses face. It really makes their night. Hey, it's only money, right?

Sweet baby, infant Jesus, I love spiral-cut smoked ham. I'm glad we only get this at the holidays or with respect to the 7 deadly sins the balance of my life would tip from leaning slightly towards lust and envy to that of being bottomed out at gluttony. eeek

Worst Christmas Karma. Tonight after putting a few bucks in the Salvation Army Kettle, I'm digging for my keys and the cardboard rips on the 12 pack of iced-tea in my other hand and ..... boosh! Cans across the parking lot. Then Sunday night we hit a 2nd Deer with the same vehicle in just over a month. This time on the other side of...

Went to the Tattoo Shop tonight to meet with my artist to see his version of my sketch for my chest plate. It turned out great and I'm very excited, unfortunately I'm not scheduled to start getting it done until January 19th. That's such a long time to wait! But both he and I are very pumped to do this.

On the way home in...

Great day. Awesome snow-storm (I love winter). Took the boys to a the skating rink for a birthday party and got to skate myself (I used to work at a rink as a teenager so that's always fun to do). Washed my stinky, 80 pound dog. Now he's all fluffy, smells good, and huggable. Set up the Christmas tree and had some Egg Nog with...

It's 2:30 in the morning and I just finished making sausage gravy for biscuits and gravy, because I forgot that tomorrow is the holiday luncheon at work, until it was way late. Now I have to run out to buy milk so the kids can have cereal in the morning since I used it all, then get up at 6 to make the biscuits. Idiot!

At work, my cube-mate was playing the 40's Christmas Music station on XM today, which was cool for about 15 minutes, before it started to make me edge towards insanity. Normally it's cool and I like my cube-mate and all, but I had quite enough holiday spirit with a sorority alumni Christmas party I had to attend over the weekend. Luckily, I had my iPod....

Out to lunch with some of my pals from work today. While giving them an update of recent happenings, my buddy leveled a (most likely well deserved) comment towards me. He said out of the crew, I was the most likely to arrange to meet with somebody at a bar, and wake up in a hotel bathtub filled with ice, missing a kidney. While it...

Catching up on some long neglected ranking of songs of on my iPod. Today, I listened to 4 White Stripes albums consecutively, which left me mentally exhausted. (Sorry Jack...) On the drive home I had to listen to Tenacious D to revive myself. Funny, a few days ago at work, I listen to 5 Spoon albums in the same manner, and despite the depressive, gloomy,...
