I'm at my parent's house right now and spending the night as my flight is at 6:45am from Orlando. I have a few hour layover in Newark so I might try to pop on here.
Since the first time I picked up a hockey stick 17 years ago I wanted to play at the top level of Pro Hockey i.e. the NHL but since that dream was taken away in my accident, the Paralympics (held a week or 2 after the Olympics in the same arenas and village) are my option for top level play. Sure there is a pretty good chance I wont make the team this year BUT that isnt going to stop me from going up there for tryouts and showing them what made me one of the best hockey player Wisconsin had to offer in the 1999-2000 season. I'll show them that I dont let my self get pushed around like the current Team USA does. I'm going to give it my very best and prove that I belong on Team USA.
I've never been so nervous/excited before, so close to living a dream I've wanted for 17 years.
