I hate catholic church. There, i said it. I was baptised when i was a toddler and cannot forgive my parents for that. They bowed to peer pressure, my dad admtited that to me; him, lifelong atheist decided to follow the trend and allowed that to happen. It wouldnt be a big problem, nowadays you can ask CC to strike your name off their records and to declare you apostate, however, because i was born in Poland it's not that easy for me. Even though CC is being centrally controlled, and even though Vatican allows for that, Polish CC is making it extreamly hard. First of all i would have to travel to Poland to get my baptism certificate, then i would have to go through church procedure that would, theoretically, make me apostate. Problem is, it's not certain they would agree to that and also they would still keep the records of me being a member of their congregation. Yes, cursed, but still a member.
I can't make myself stop caring. That organisation is, to say the least, completely contrary to all i believe in. Of course not being a christian should be excuse enough, but i also do not agree with them on philosophical, moral and political issues.
I'm writing this because I decided to do something with my baptism and discovered how hard, and in some respects impossible, it would be. Now, depressed and drinking too much coffe, I cry for my idealistic and naive worldview.
