Who here includes a photograph on their CV?
I've been applying for jobs in Sweden and apparently it's the norm here which is pretty strange to me since it's considered a pretty wankey thing to do back home in Australia.
I'm super frustrated by the job market here, I never finished university which has everybody up in arms, it's almost like you need a degree to clean toilets these days, which is insane! I've got almost 10 years experience working in all kinds of roles including cafe management, retail, sales, massage, fitness, bartending, recruitment and solutions consulting with a big bank, all of which I got without a degree. I once has a huge role in creating a promoting a new juice bar concept back home and basically renovated an entire store and created the menu, so why is it so freakin hard to find a job, ANY job here? I have respect for those who choose to study but since that was not an ideal choice for me, it's really frustrating that life experience is always shoved aside for a degree.
*sigh*
Missing the Australian way of life just a little bit these days.....

I needed 3 months of intensive application (15-25 applications / day) to find a job in Austria. If it helps you...
Wow, up to 25 a day, that's pretty intensive! I've had one interview so far and another lined up for this Thursday, so at least the ball is rolling.
