Alright, so I'm going to admit it: I'm a gamer.
There, said it. Now, since that's done I shall go on with what I was going to talk about.
First off: Sims 3 is bloody addicting! I should really stop playing so much. (Yeah right.) Trying to take care of 4 teens and one adult in one house is a little bit difficult, haha.
And on to my second point: I recently purchased and downloaded one of my favorite FPS games of all time, Prey. I played it waaay back when it first came out, and instantly fell in love. Yes, its bloody and pretty much the same kind of graphics as Doom 3 (made on the id Tech 4 game engine by id Software, so duh!) but I like it sooo much more.
First of all, this game makes you identify with the characters in a deeper way than Doom 3. The characters have personalities, and family and loved ones, and the antagonists of the game pull all of that away from you in such a way that you actually emphasize with the main character in his fight. The use of Cherokee culture drew me in as well, as it was something different from mainly "Space Marine is on base/spacestation/planet when it is attacked, fights back!" It actually gives a background to it.
Also, I loved the fact that there really was no death in this game. You died, you fought some disgraced spirits in the spirit world to gain your health and spirit power back, and respawn in the same spot you just died in, with the enemies getting freaked out because you aren't dead!
And finally: Prey 2! There's a trailer from E3! Look it up! I totally can't wait!
Oh, one more thing. A sort of rant: Diablo 3 shall be online only. Yeah. Be annoyed with me!
huh. There is no Games category for blogs. :/
