Well, here's an update.
We've began building, and we're actually a hair ahead of schedule. Whoo-hoooo!
1. We've got almost all the jigs and forms built.
2. We've got our steam-box for steam bending built.
3. We've all but finished the work on the gunnels (the outside beams of the boat that run from stearn to bow)
4. We finished all the mortising (little holes in the gunnels for the ribs to slide into).
5. We've beveled one of the gunnals. Still have to do another.
Today, it's test our bending technique, and modify accordingly (you bend the ribs into shape)
1. Also, bevel the other gunnel.
2. Make a spreader form.
3. Begin working on the deck beams
And go down to Andy and Bax downtown and see what they have in the way of PFD's etc.
