The other night I had a really great conversation in the sauna at my health club with a Beautiful Russian young woman, bout my age and a guy who is training to be a professionally competetive mountain biker.
We talked about the insane things some athletes do to try to lose weight that are rediculously unhealthy. IE wearing a rubber suit while exercising in the sauna, an exercise bike with no seat going at sprint pacing, basically stuff to ge a dumbass jock killed, thanks to their asshole coaches.
She told me that she got really sick after coming here from Russia after the Fall o' the Wall, and would come in with water and sweat out the disease, and has been coming there ever since. I congratulated her and said keep it up, and asked her if she knew any self defense. She said that she did cardio kickboxing, which is good for health, but I said it isn't really effective on the street. But I suppose Madison isn't nearly as bad as her homeland, and I am glad she made it here. I only wish things were getting better for everyone, not worse. If I had the power, my friends and all conscientious people raised right and with the talents of
I told them that I used to really push myself too far, because of exercise addiction, sitting alone in my room going nonstop for hours on an empty stomach to get as carved as possible.
But since then, I moderate my exercise, reast when I'm tired, take a lot of vitamins, minerals and supplements, eat plenty of healthy stuff (natural grains, unprocessed sugars, plant protein, fiber, lots of veggies) and I am now happy, healthy and ready to kick butt. (I only hit pads, fighting is only when absolutely necessary).
