Maybe you also have heard of or listen to http://www.coasttocoastam.com/. Radio show that talks about everything you just discribed from time to time. They get the people who wrote these books on the air a lot of times. If you haven't listened to it you sould find what station it's on in your area and give it a shot!

Thanks for your input on the Astral Dynamics, I'll definetely check that book out if I can get my hands on it. What I'm trying to do though is find a way to gain these experiences through the "roots" I guess you can say. Meaning a person wouldn't need a book to find out what kind of mental capacity they really have by doing things like fasting, sleep deprivation, chanting, drumming. Those in my opinion are all natural things that anybody can do.

I do admit though that I know nothing about Astral Dynamics and that what I just said may have meant nothing but it was just a way to make myself more clear.

I used to live in Memphis...needless to say I used to get into it with unsuspecting bible thumpers.

Cource I hadn't gone Taoist yet, but I used to defeat baptists quite often by simply knowing the New Testiment better then them and therefore showing them how flawed it is and how they didn't know what they were talking about.

I smoked weed for several years, pretty heavily for a few months even, but I never really was what I'd call 'hooked' on the stuff.

Only thing that really has hooked me is coffee. I can't seem to get off it. In fact I'm about to make a cup right now. I don't know how I ever got up without it.

BTW, you did actually seem like someone who had done drugs and seen where that finally takes you, I just had no idea how much or what kind.

I also feel that there's a block in my chi flow at the moment. i feel tired and out of energy and not so creative a have a lot of headaches. but it can't have something to do with orgasms. i often use orgasms to calm down and fall asleep :-)
