Dreams do have that weird effect... but it's weird, when I have a really good dream and I wake up, I'll usually go back to sleep and try and redream it but it's never quite the same. Like once, I dreamt I was in a pool naked with Christie Brinkley, and then I woke up... so I went back to sleep, and I ended up playing pool with David Brinkley. It wasn't quite as good.

Anyway, Mario Kart-a-thon and Kevin Smith movie night should happen sometime soon. Tho, at the rate I get around to doing stuff, it's gonna be tough to squeeze it in before you move, but I'll work on it. If nothing else I'll be sure to win a race for you now and then when I'm all alone and playing that game at 8am before I go to bed.

for the record too, that dream thing was from an old Norm McDonald stand up skit, I can't take credit for it... but it was appropriate.

like actuallynotyou, i had an opportuity to meet kevin smith and scott mosier about 7 years ago. it was nice, they really are nice guys, even when they give someone shit, like they gave me(if you want elaboration, ill give it upon request).

anywho, thanks again for the nice comments. it will be nice to get an sgjax thing going, even if it is just the three of us.

i haven't noticed any friends' posts being purple since the relaunch.

as far as getting made fun of by kevin smith...well, it was dragon-con in atlanta 1996 and a friend of mine had a screen printing business. his gimmick to sell t-shirts was for one day of the convention have everyone dress up like characters from the road warrior. like a good friend, i'm there to help out, so i figure what the hell, i'll do it for that one day, its not like i'm ever coming back to atl anyway. that just happened to be the day kevin smith was a guest speaker.

so i go to the talk in full regallia, complete with an upside-down cross on a chain with a cat-skull stuck to it, courtesy of another friend who didn't have the balls to wear it. as i go to get my clerks poster signed at the end, naturally my outfit becomes the topic of discussion...and the rest is history. it was funny, even though at my expense. and, it resulted in a uniquely-signed poster.

The husband works till close tomorrow...probably 1am. So I guess nothing unless I can get a sitter. We need to go out. I know I need to and it sounds like you do. I'll see what I can do. Are you going to the guys show on Sat.?

Hmmmm....i'm detecting a nature, autumn, heart broken theme in your poems. Did you have a bad fall breakup? Perhaps unrequited love and a search for meaning and connections with different things going on in your life?

I'm no analyst...if i'm wrong i've been blowing smoke out my ass. If i'm right, i'm not only a genius, but i'm in the wrong business. At any rate, i enjoyed your poems and that's sayin something b/c i'm not particualrly a poetry reader. Maybe the shortness helps though. At any rate, write one, write on.

You sound like a kindred spirit as i've had the same wish many a times. You should come out to an SGPGH event sometime or try and join the group. At any rate, you can usually find us at 80's night at the Upstage, but i'm sure you've gotten wind of that.
