Did the son insist on him seeking help? If it were my dad and it was obvious he was in trouble, because by the way he hates doctors, hospitals, etc, I'd be calling 911 no matter how much of a fight he put up.

You may be feeling crummy, but the guy's son is largely responsible for letting his Dad evade medical attention like that. I would hope he took responsibility and forced his Dad to get to the hospital after they pulled away. You did all that was within your means to do, right? That's all ya gotta do.
Just remember: next time somebody wants to help you, let 'em.
(By the way... it wasn't a cure, just the meaning of life and all that awesome crap

I learned that the vacation plans are postponed a day because of work. GAH! And I was ready to hit the road at 5 AM. Oh well. I still get 2 weeks of greatness, I just don't get to surprise my pops on Father's Day.

Four more days until the vacation begins! I am excited. I'll be leaving first thing Sunday morning to drive up to my parent's cabin up in Montana.
