I miss being able to listen to music at work. When I was working for Washington Mutual, before the mortgage market started to go bust last year, I devoured music non-stop. I'd probably spend 7 hours at work listening to music, plus another 45 minutes in my car there and back.
Now, I just don't have the time to keep up with everything out there. I'm sure there are plenty of bands that I'd enjoy, but I can't find a time to listen to them. I pretty much stick with stuff I know I like, because when I'm listening, I want to enjoy it. New stuff doesn't always hit me on the first listen.
That's something I'm looking for in a new job, one where they don't mind me listening to my iPod all day and leaving me alone to do my work.
