I miss being able to listen to music at work. When I was working for Washington Mutual, before the mortgage market started to go bust last year, I devoured music non-stop. I'd probably spend 7 hours at work listening to music, plus another 45 minutes in my car there and back.

Now, I just don't have the time to keep up with everything out there....

Tace Bell is a bunch of jerks.

After Jacoby Ellsbury stole second last night, we all won a free taco! Yay! From 2-5 pm. On a Tuesday. When like 85% of people are at work. And it's after lunch. And I don't even know where the nearest Taco Bell is to work. Bunch of jerks.

I mean, from a business standpoint, it's brilliant. Taco Bell...

fast food is my downfall. I don't necessarily 'love' the taste of it, but its quick and cheap and ugh frown But taco bell is the least one I visit...along with kfc puke puke You just gave me a thought though. I'm not really into baseball, but stealing a base would be such an excellen training method for someone who wants to improve speed. I just think of a pitcher throwing a ball around 90 mph, and then the catcher throwing to 2nd base, and how it all takes a matter of what, 5 seconds? running 90 feet in five seconds...is that even possible? lol

Tonight's show at the Roxy wasn't as good as last night's. The bands were just as on, and The Hold Steady played a completely different set, so we got to hear songs we haven't heard them play before, including a few new ones. I have a feeling they'll be going into the studio after this tour. Craig Finn mentioned that they haven't played Boston since...

So, the Art Brut/Hold Steady show was kickass. Probebly one of the best show I've been to, Excust teh bad grammer and misspelling, I'm still pretty drunk, I had a solid 10 mixed drinks as well as a few beers.

So my Sox are doing the World Series thing., We decided to hit up a bar after the show to see the end of the...

So the Sox were able to force Game 7. Good for them. I'll be hoping they win, but not watching, as I will be rocking out. Hopefully they win and go to the World Series.

Taking Monday and Tuesday off from work, because I have the vacation time and need to use it. My big plan is to watch The Price Is Right so I...

I need to find a camera. The above picture that you see of me was taken in like 2004. Definitely time for an update.

I started watching The Wire on someone's DVDs. It's pretty awesome. I'm only 3 episodes in, but really enjoying it. Unfortunately, it means a little less time bumming around here, but that's ok. Fewer chances for me to make a complete...

-Nope, el zilcho.
-El Zilcho! Hey, is it too late to change my superhero name?

I've wanted to change my name on here for a while now, but they redesigned things massively in my absence and I couldn't for the life of me find where to change it. Found it today, so yay!

Sox lost....

whoa!!!!!!! I swear to you I have this massive hatered towards Verizon. They charged me $300 once because I went over my minutes, which I thought I could do because I was talking with another verizon customer. Nope, you had to have a plan over $40. They weren't even sympathetic to my causefrown But that was a couple years ago and now I'm with att and don't really see that much of a difference in terms of phone call quality.

The Pats are sick man...sick. Did you just hear Chris Collingsworth say they are the best team ever? I hope that didn't put a jinx on them, but when the lowest total offensive points in a game you've had all season is 34, I probably would think the same thing. I don't really have a team in the NFL, but I love watching every game!

Oh, and changing your name, just feels fresh doesn't it? hehehe..I just did the same thing and I dunno, I kinda like it...but I'll probably change it to something else soon who knows. So, why did you chose el zilcho? Is that something you've used amongst friends or something you saw on TV?

it would be BEYOND rad if they went back to back. i would be super stoaked!

Long awesome night.

Got the call from a friend of mine, Nick, saying he was up from NYC for the weekend. So I hopped in my car, and drove the hour and a half to get to my old hometown to see him and another buddy of mine, Jeff. At first we just planned on getting together for a beer, but it turned into much...

Here's something you shouldn't say to somebody answering the phone when you call a company

You have a very pleasant voice. You should be a good secretary when you grow up.
I will be? Gee, thanks. Glad I have that to look forward to. Really gonna be making something of myself.

Let's break it down.

Fuck yea man! Corporate things in general are generic and not human. I wouldn't let something like that bother you for too long. Let it bother you to the point where you practice karate and stuff and by then, you've released so much steam that you could power a hydroelectric generator! Sorry to sound weird, I need to drink to cause shit like that happens to me all the time...frown

Hey. I'm back again. I'm lazy. And I had started playing WoW again. Nightly raiding really crushes your free time. But our guild disintegrated when we couldn't get more than halfway through Serpentshrine Cavern. Which is a good thing, because now I'm not playing anymore.

Umm, let's see. I moved. I live in New Hampshire now. So that's that. Still answering phones, but I might...

Fuck guitar hero!
I tried to play my friends a while back, and it wasn't pretty. I play guitar pretty well, and everyone there was surprised to see me butcher songs on guitar hero that I can breeze through with a real guitar......

Like my fingers know where they need to go for a chord or note, but none of that is even similar in the game.

If you like nirvana at all I suggest you start with that. Don't bother with any of the 'learn to play guitar' crap, because it all sucks and you won't want to stick with it. That stuff comes in handy later on, but to start pick some songs that you like and lears them.....mess around with the chords and make up your own stuff.
I think Nirvana is probably the best bet for beginners, so if you like it go with that. The songs all sound good and are REALY EASY, both to learn and play, and being able to easily play something that sounds good will keep it interesting.
