we've been renting the house we're currently in for just over a year.
for the past 6 years we've been renting and have paid out close to $60K in rent alone.
so... it looks like we'll be buying a house soon.

woke up at 7. don't have to be to work until 1. all i want to do between now and work is chain smoke menthols and drink coffee. but since we no longer smoke in our house, drinking coffee and chewing wintergreen gum will have to suffice.
sleep, work, bike, smoke, drink. repeat as needed, with the occasional bit of food thrown in for good measure.

working a retail/sales based job isn't for me. i get paid less now that i did before i had a college degree. i'm applying for a few master's degree programs in creative writing. i want to be a professor. i want to be a writer. i don't want to sell cell phones.
