My Dad's not been doing so well the past couple years so your moment of bittersweet really resonated with me. Especially since my Dad and I used to walk the coast of Cornwall when I was little.

There is never a time when it seems that the people you love should be gone, regardless of their situation. It seems like parents are bullet-proof and 20-feet tall when you're young; then you age and realize that they're human and capable of weakness, just like you. But being there with them in those times is so powerful and amazing because then you can give back to them like all the times they gave to you.
I just turned 34 and feel the same way you do, but I can't let age be such a distraction. If I do I'll get crazy and stressed. I am on the verge of going back to grad school and feel torn by the late return to school, but I know it'l bring future happiness, which will make this time of my life look like a small speed bump.

I'm glad to hear things are going well. It was nice to re-read the story of you finding Leo. He's grown up so much over the past three years. I'm sorry to hear about your "Fan" set being rejected. It looks awesome. My move is going along. There have been some bumps in the road. Thanks for the support. Wednesday is the big test as we are moving all the key furniture that day. Hopefully all the appliances will be there & services will be up & running by then. As far as my leaving the community, my final journal entry will be up later tonight. While I'm sad to go it is a necessary change I must make if I'm to move forward.
