Two of my best friends in the whole damn world are visiting from the other coast right now. So great to have people around that you share an enduring bond with... plus these girls are fucking crazy. A good crazy, though. We were at Duff's in Williamsburg on the patio at 3am and in the dark through the crowd I made eye contact with someone...

I don't have internet at the house yet, so I've been opening several of my friends' blogs in multiple tabs while at work then I go home and write a comment and post it the following day at work. However, I think I've found a fatal flaw in this process - namely that I wrote you a comment on your last entry over the weekend and just posted it, only to find out that you had posted again in the meantime. So, instead of copying my message and pasting it here, for some reason I decided to go about explaining the whole thing and just posting a link to said message. Here you go...

In other news, it sounds like you might be onto something with this whole "hot naked girls" thing.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

Been getting some unsolicited friend requests, huh?

Sucks about the encounter with the ex. At least things were civil. I suppose it is interesting to realize that you've got consistent taste in women, though.

Went to the Zak Smith opening last night and ran into a ton of people I haven't seen in quite a while, almost all of whom accused me of dropping off the face of the earth. So I thought I'd say something to prove that, indeed, I am here. The opening was real fun, the work was good (not that I had expected otherwise) and...

Glad to hear you're keeping busy and staying out of trouble! Sucks that you're not getting as much time in your studio as you would like, but it sounds like you're actually doing pretty well if you're getting upwards of 20 hrs/wk (particularly in NYC).

The Seventh Seal is also one of my all-time favorites. I had a friend play it for me back in college and I immediately went and bought a copy. And don't forget the usefulness of "Love is the blackest of all plagues" in Swedish. You'll use that one all the time...

Oh, and I can't believe I forgot about this one:

enjoy

New York is good, Brooklyn is good, life is pretty good. Still no internet at my place. Still real busy all the time and have been working at a gallery in Chelsea as well as on the trucks at my other job. Finding time to make work in the in between times, but not as much as I'd like. Still... have started a new piece...

Took a look at your photos of your art, it looks great!

My internet is not working at home and apparently Time Warner is not all that concerned about setting it up. It's all directly related to a very funny story about my accidental hacking of my neighbors router. Story aside, it means I will not be sharing all of the great stories I had wanted. Stories about moving, being hit by a car my last day...

Hey pal!
I'm good, how're you outside of having a cold?!

Maybe you and the puppies should find a healthier crew to hang with! wink

I'm just about ready for the move, which is good since it's this Friday. Unfortunately the apartment I'm moving into is not ready. Suck. It's looking as if I'll be couch surfing for a couple of weeks when I first get into Brooklyn. That's okay, on the upside I got the job that I'd earlier mentioned going down and interviewing for so I will, at...

I graduated! It was all very nice and my friend gave an excellent speech in the form of an exam. It was a great two years for me, I won't go into the typical, "I learned a lot and made some really good friends," bit - but I did. The excitement has more or less worn off and I'm really more concerned with what to...

Well, I guess it depends if you have an endangering-a-child fetish or not. Because then it could be both.

Carlo Rossi?! P.U!
Anywho, I've seen Sonju around at shows, but other than that, not many people recognize me without Ross in tow. Being new rules!

Final crit tomorrow... then I'm officially finished. Though, the ceremony isn't until one week later. I'm working in a bar one night a week. It's okay, but the median clientele age is roughly 35. Not looking like I can afford the studio I was hoping for... bummer. Started some new drawings. My best friend is coming into town from Washington in a little under a...

So I'm single again. It was my decision, but it still feels pretty crappy. It's so frustrating putting so much time and work into something just to realize that it doesn't matter how much time and work you put into it because of underlying problems that just don't go away. At some point it seems as if being in a relationship shouldn't be quite so...

Congrats on your thesis exhibition! I really wanted to make it over and see it, but they are absolutely killing me at work and I couldn't break away. So, it seems as if I'm in much the same situation as you - making a decent amount of money (for once) making other people's art happen, but not getting to do much of my own. Lame.

Sorry to hear about the girlfriend and being hit by a car again. I'm currently looking for a bike, but as I haven't ridden one in a decade or so, I feel like a total dunce in the bike shop. As for the relationship, I've never been in one that hasn't been a lot of work.

Good luck with the upcoming move! (You have my sympathies...)

Oh yeah, seen this yet?

So the show's up and the reception was great! Thanks to everyone that showed up, and if you didn't, you have two more days to see it. We went through something like 120 bottles of wine and an equally absurd amount of beer in a little over two hours and then finished off the night at some of the sweet bars in the Brigham Circle...
