Wow. I never imagined that replacing my five year old computer would be so liberating. I can do many cool things, not least of which is loading up and dealing with the huge backlog of photographs that have been sitting, uselessly, on memory cards.

I'm back in LA. This time, I'm taking the idea of stopping a bit more seriously. No longer am I using cardboard boxes for furniture (with a couple of temporary exceptions). Projects are happening and the search for a real job is...real.

my friend and i are going to europe in a few weeks for 16 days (flying into and out of amsterdam, but we want to hit up a few other cities/countries as well) and have no idea what we're doing. any tips on places to see or stay, or any tips in general? i forgot you were mister world traveler .
I have progressed from simply back to functionally back. Though the unpacking of the boxes may take forever, I now have an apartment in Hollywood, a working vehicle (two-wheeled...the one with four still needs some work) and a reasonably reliable internet connection. At this rate, I might soon become a functional member of society!
After years on the road, it's time to stop, regroup and see what happens next. Despite all of my grand, mildly schizophrenic, ambitions, I'm coming back. The way I see it, I need to STOP roaming and can only really do that by returning to the point of departure.
