Off to a much needed vacation in South Dakota and Nebraska for the next 10 days. My first farm thanksgiving dinner. I'm giddy.

A well deserved 3 day weekend is here for me. I have nothing planned except a little time devoted to playing Dragon Age: Origins and watching the UFC event on Saturday night with some good friends.

I normally cook a big meal for the UFC events, but since this is not a pay-per-view event and a free show, I'm making mac-and-cheese, sloppy joes and kool-aid....

is it wrong if i think mac and cheese/ sloppy joes and kool aid all sound so delicious together (well for me, the veganised version). enjoy your 3 day weekend.

Halloween went over very well. Despite having to recycle an older costume (leatherface), I had a blast at the party we all went to. Most of the people there have never seen any of the costumes me and my friends have done over the last 6 or seven years or so, making it easier to just pull something out of the basement to wear again...

Halloween was AWESOME!

My costume went over spectacularly, I won 'Most Hysterical' at the Henri David Ball (which is a huge deal, and the second time I won that prize). I've been going to this party for 10 years now, and am becoming a bit of a celebrity. Many people came up to me remembering the costume I had last year, or the year before. One person even remembered what I wore around 8 years ago. And several of the people said that one of the things that they look forward to most is seeing what I have come up with for this year. One person even said that when they are trying to convince friends to come to the party, they show them pictures of my costumes.

Glad to hear you had a great time too. I can't wait for next year (I think I already have my idea for what I will wear). Hopefully my neck and shoulders will have fully healed from wearing this year's costume by then. wink
cosmo:
What do you mean by 'slightly'?

So...it is Halloween morning, I have a big party to go to tonight...and I have no clue what I'm wearing, which is pretty messed up for me, I usually have this costume thing down weeks in advance. Grumble grumble.

That sucks, I hope you come up with something good in time. I've been to a few parties already the past few nights (you can see some of the pics in my Halloween Pics folder) Last night I won $100 in gift cards to the Iron Hill brewery. I wore my older costume (the Operation Santa Claus). This year's costume has gone over really well so far, and tonight is the big party, Should be a blast!

Good luck. Have a fun night!!

Happy Halloween!!

I was expecting to see at least a few Zombie Billy Mays, but only saw one guy so far as Billy Mays (and not even zombiefied)

If you did do that, make sure to make a container of 'Crypt Clean'. Here's your pitch:

Zombie Billy Mays Here!

Is the stench of rotting flesh ruining your afterlife? Are you too embarrassed to bring a ghoul back to the crib for a little necrophelia? Then you need new Crypt Clean! You'll be the hit of the Zombie Apocalypse!

Call now, morticians are standing by!

The long weekend was awesome for the most part.

Social Distortion lived up to my every expectation and they rocked my ass off.

The New York Comic con was a good time, though that much standing and walking was hard on my bad knee. That much exposure to germs has also given me a killer sore throat and head congestion as well, but it was...

My much needed long weekend is finally here. Much fun to be had, starting tonight with a Social Distortion concert with a bunch of good friends.

Then we're heading down to New Haven to hang out with my best friend and his wife, we just don't get to see them enough these days.

Saturday, a group of us will be going to the Big Apple...

If we go on Saturday, I'll most likely be wearing my black kilt and a baby carrier on my back, walking around with a pregnant chick. If we're there, Suri will know how to find us. smile

Today is the 10th anniversary of the day my father passed away, just over six years after my mother died.

It's hard to believe it has been that long. It still feels so raw at times. My parents were great people, and great teachers for me. They gave me and my brother a loving and entertaining childhood, despite a lot of hard times. It kills...

Life is good lately.

We went to a nice outdoor wedding in Maine last weekend. It poured the whole time, but it was just perfect given the couple getting married both love nature and teach people wilderness survival skills for a living. So it seemed right for mother nature to have a little say in the ceremony.

The wedding was right in Wells, Maine, a...

Things are good lately. I had a blast at my brothers gallery opening this past Friday, and the after-party type gathering at the Gulu Gulu cafe was a great time with old friends as well.

Tonight I'm gonna mellow out and play the hell outta Batman: Arkham Asylum, and just relax for a night. Next weekend we are off to Maine for a wedding, a...

Things have been hectic lately.
I've done a lot of overtime recently, but I'm done with that for at least three weeks. The next month or so is just going to be too busy.

-Next week is my birthday, and me and Jenny will be heading down to Connecticut to visit friends for a long, quiet weekend.

-The week after that will be a small...

Sleep has been very poor lately. This is kind of normal for a third shift worker to hit a stretch of insomnia and fatigue.

In good news though, it's JennyLou's birthday! So go wish her a nice day if you could.

I've seen several Cirque shows. Alegria wasn't bad, but Mystere in Las Vegas is the best.
