I spent this last weekend in, to quote the Pixies, "a town where I am going to live" (hopefully.....one day), Port Townsend, Washington, for their annual film festival.

I was a fan of "Roseanne" also...
but picking my top five fave sitcoms is hard..

and i've been exposed to so many t.v. series growing up.
I love swordfish also, but very rarely eat it since i found out they were endangered..
now that i know that i probably treat myself to it every couple of years.
It is a tasty one though...
today i scored some fresh tuna from my brother who went fishing recently

I don't make them the "right" way... but I fry them at a super high temperature first... then bake them for 20 minutes in a watered down grade B maple syrup (with about 1/4 tsp. of sea salt mixed in) and theyr'e yummy! Tostones are much easier to make though...
I tried to go see Devotchka last night, but they sold out.
I stood outside for 45 minutes trying to score a ticket, but no luck, as I was not the only one looking. I almost bought a ticket online the day before, but didn't want to pay $7 in service fees for a $10 ticket. Oh well, I will not cheap out next time!...

We just watched Eraserhead, and I hope it doesn't give me nightmares! I remember falling asleep during Lost Highway, most likely because I just couldn't maintain interest. I have to say Mulholland Drive is one of the most badass movies I have ever seen. And the girl-on-girl love scene -- hello! It's the icing on the cake.

Well I'm off to LA tonight for 10 days to work and to visit family & friends. I was so happy to leave LA, but I love going back to visit, there is so much there, other than family & friends (& bouganvillea & cheap avocados) that I really do miss.
