That strange hell you find yourself in when all of your neighbors are playing loud, shitty music at the same time

Flipping through my SG inbox I just realized my account is once again about to expire in a week or so (maybe less...yikes). This time around I'm actually bummed about it. I've been much more active in the online SG community this past year and I'm really going to miss it. Like I've said before, I spend more time on SG than I do on...

I returned from Canada last Thursday night, yet it still feels like I just got home. Some thoughts on my trip:

As I said in my last blog, the point of travelling to Canada was mostly to try it on for size in a sense and see if I'd be interested in moving there. I arrived in Toronto on August 9th and spent much of...

Nah, it's tonight so I didn't miss it...but, it totally snuck up on me. I would have totally forgotten and missed it.

i was already thinking about it biggrin but i'd need to make a new one, i'd want it to be perfect. he switched his set up a little, played a couple dubstep songs. same visuals w/ the songs though. i think his set would be really hard to completely switch up every time. it was pretty cool seeing him in such a small venue, but the crowd had a lot of assholes in it :/

I was just working on a blog post and it magically disappeared. Hopefully I'm not double posting this.
Anyhow, I booked my flight to Canada earlier and I'm pretty excited about. I'll be staying for ten days and visiting both Toronto and Montreal. Hopefully I'll be able to get some idea of life in each city during my visit. Though this isn't exactly a vacation,...

I just scheduled an interview with a local credit union! This is really exciting, especially considering their minimum pay rate is $11 an hour and on top of that I've only been unemployed for one weekend. I'm not sure what my chances are, but I'm definitely hoping for the best. Until then, I suppose the smart thing to do would be to keep sending out...

I quit my job today and I think I'm still a little shocked by the whole ordeal.
When I woke up this morning I hadn't planned on quitting, but once I got to work I saw that my hours had been cut this week again and on top of that my pay check for the past two weeks was a pathetic $400. This really upset...

Yea, it's not as amusing as it sounds if you read their schedule...they're actually "protesting" several Jewish centers and synagogues (which, according to the schedule, appears to be the bulk of their daily protests). So, really, their SDCC protest looks almost like an afterthought...just 'cause they happen to be in the area at the time.

But, it was quite hilarious when they picketed in front of Twitter HQ and got "picketed" back.

I think there's so much more going on at ComicCon for everyone involved I doubt they'll have any sort of impact. The girls lining up with their Twilight posters caused more of a problem last year. tongue

I'm not sure how many blogs I've started with the sentiment, 'I don't think anyone reads this', but it's how I'll be starting this one and most likely how I'll start the remainder of the blogs I post on SG. It feels a bit silly to start off any other way, not to mention in general I'm pretty o.k. with that fact. Strangely this is...

It's been a week since my last post and the only news I've heard on grad school since has been a rejection letter from the University of Miami (apparently they aren't accepting any M.A. students this year). Up until this weekend I was tearing my hair out in anticipation, however I've since relaxed a bit and accepted that it'll be some time before I hear...

Did you really?! I want the job soo bad. The only thing I'm afraid of is the drug test if I get hired haha. What was your position?

I had no fucking idea what most of the positions were so I applied for "Team Member" (original right?) and "Sales Associate" (God knows what the difference is...)

Dear University of Miami and City University of New York,
Hurry the fuck up and tend to your Masters program applications.

Dear University of Western Ontario,
Enough attention to your Canadian applications, hurry up and get to the International applications (because that's where mine is). Also...I promise you're still my fav.

Dear Tufts University,
From what I've seen you've sent out acceptance and rejection letters....yet...

Just managed a decent run, it feels good to be getting back in the habit again. My friend in the Marines was just clocked at running 3.2 miles in about 21 minutes. I'm pretty impressed with that time considering we're talking about the same guy that chain smokes and used to sit up all night drinking with me (actually I'm sure he still does these...
