My Dad is a professional golfer. so yeah, he has had four back fusions, torn his shoulder and now has arthritis or some form or another in every joint.

also, memes are not actually all that funny sometimes. Kill Roy (one of the original pre internet memes) was not funny so much as unexpected.
Political memes are a great way to convey a quick political stab. sort of taking over from caricature sketches. Some of them are quiet witty.
The more mainstream memes are supposed to be instant humour which everyone will get.
Think of them as comedians. You get different types and some go for the witty comment that a few will get and others go for the slapstick stuff that everyone gets.
