I've definitely mellowed out these past few years.....went to get a haircut and decided to try bangs again and the guy (who was actually super nice and friendly) wet my hair, pulled it down and cut it so that the end result was a wispy fringe halfway up my forehead. A few years ago I would have freaked out a fair bit but I just...

I really want to get my eyebrows done but I'm terrified of going to a pro here in Sweden since pencil thin Mc Donalds eyebrows seem to be in fashion and I don't know the language well enough to be sure that I wouldn't walk out with the same thing.. I saw someone with drawn on angry black brows at the gym today and spent...

Who here includes a photograph on their CV?

I've been applying for jobs in Sweden and apparently it's the norm here which is pretty strange to me since it's considered a pretty wankey thing to do back home in Australia.

I'm super frustrated by the job market here, I never finished university which has everybody up in arms, it's almost like you need a degree...

I used a photo on my CV.

I needed 3 months of intensive application (15-25 applications / day) to find a job in Austria. If it helps you...

Maybe it's a european thing to include a photo :S

Wow, up to 25 a day, that's pretty intensive! I've had one interview so far and another lined up for this Thursday, so at least the ball is rolling.

Had the worst night sleep ever, it turns out that there is a mouse family living in the roof right above my head. Tried banging on the wall a few times but the chewing just got louder and louder. I can sleep through the noises of three chinchillas and six hamsters but as soon as I hear a rodent that is not mine I am...

my one friends house has bats and rats in his roof o.o i think the only reason I managed to sleep there one time was because I was severely intoxicated.
aylafay:
What a nightmare, bats! I've been afraid of them ever since I watched Jumanji as a kid. As for the mice, I seriously just keep picturing them chewing all the way through the wooden roof and falling on my face as I sleep. Getting intoxicated to aid sleep sounds like a good idea at this point, I'm at home after skipping classes today just to catch up on some sleep while the mouse is sleeping :S

I resolve to do a seven minute shoulder stand every morning starting from tomorrow.....we don't have any mirrors though so it's going to be really hard trying to see my lines and make sure I am straight.

It's been a busy week, I've been horseriding a lot and keep making progress as far as my technique goes......another few months and I might be up to...

Might be moving house! We are currently looking into work possibilities for my boyfriend in Gteborg, living in a small town is stressful for us both and we are really keen to find a community of people who will support us as well as more outlets for our creative energy.....sports for him and yoga, coffee groups and school for me.

Fingers crossed I manage to...

Still not feeling 100% which is annoying although I did manage to sweat it out a bit at the gym today.

It's a frustrating effort but I am finally starting to see results from my fitness program and healthy eating kick..... It's so annoying, I was in brilliant shape and eating so well six months ago but since moving to a very isolated town I've...

Feeling pretty sick still, my boyfriend came home on Friday night after a big night out and was sick all Saturday, I was a bit of a mega bitch and refused to give him sympathy since I said he was only hungover and now as a form of karmic punishment I now have his stomach bug and keep throwing up. Ugh.

I'm counting down the...

I was watching a preview for that show with my 10 yr old daughter. She turned to me and said "Dad, you know what that girl is going to grow up to be?" I said "What??" She answered "A giant butthole!" I about fell off the couch laughing. smile
aylafay:
Ha, giant butthole! That pretty much sums it up!

My boyfriend and I watched it for a while today since there were back to back episodes on TV, we couldnt stop shouting abuse at the TV and making death threats. We also want to make a drinking game, one shot for every time there is a 'bling' noise and sparkle off one of ther teeth. Self centered jerks.

I booked my flights to Italy today smile

Does anybody have any suggestions on places to visit? I'm hoping for Rome, Naples and Florence and have ten days to spend doing whatever I want smile

On a negative note, I have frostbite in one of my toes. It's sore and red and I'm really hoping it goes back to normal soon.

ZUMBA!!!!!!

Back to the gym I go..... It's so refreshing to be doing Zumba again since looking like a bit of a douche while dancing doesn't require any huge language skills and I'm struggling with not being able to speak English all the time anymore.......

Anyway, Zumba is cool because no matter how bad you are, there is always somebody worse. I am glad that...

Today I got headbutted by a horse at work and almost broke my nose. Blood everywhere. OUCH!

My riding is going great though, after over ten years of riding classical style I have switched over to western and it's the best fun and feels a lot more natural. I've just started wearing spurs too, I was always against them because I thought they were cruel...
