I've enjoyed this mini vacation of sorts.
A little time off work despite the strain in funds is a nice way to relax.
I felt as if I owed it to myself to well.... fuck off.
Thursday was exceptionally good. a night out in H.B.
It's rare these days to find any night out around home.
As far as the weekend,

After finishing up their seventh record the Old 97's continue to produce high quality finger pickin' fun.
The Dallas based band lets loose with fast guitars and always catchy hooks, not to mention that Texas twang.
"Blame it on Gravity" does everything its supposed to.
Rhett Miller proves once again that there is nothing wrong with a little alt-country.

The plan: Check out of work early and head into the city for a night or two.
