THE CROWS FUCK IN THE MORNING............... I GUESS, BLOG:
So on my way home from work this morning I witnessed for the first time in my life the sight of two crows fucking on a telephone wire. I found this to be pretty funny. Is that immature of me? I don't know but I did laugh and I felt the need to share the image by telling all of you. I'd have taken a picture but it all happened too quick.
Anyway, I learned a lot from my friend Alex the other day when he was giving me pointers for chess. He started with some basic stuff and then ran me through a couple of games from this old book written by one of the old great chess masters. We didn't actually play any games but I still had fun learning.
Beyond that I've been working A LOT because a lot of the people at work have been sick lately, which is good for money of course but has really been slowing down all of my progress on my musical projects which is nearly bumming me out so, I guess it's good that it's my Friday and I'll have the next two days off to do some catching up on all of that. I'm pretty much done with my writing for the collaboration with my friend in IL, until he does whatever he does and sends me that. I just have to upload it all on to the computer and send it out his way. I can't recall if I had mentioned my friend in NY moved to Pennsylvania or not but I have lots of sound grouping left to do for him before I can send the stuff out for him, and lastly I have quite a few songs of my own that need some finishing too before I can even start recording some of the slews and slews of shit that has just been swimming around my head. I really do wish that this whole music thing paid off a little better so I wouldn't have to put things off for so long just to work in a diner.
The general manager at my work however somehow managed to rally up three tickets for the upcoming NOFX show despite it being sold out, and has promised one of them to me! I am happy about this because despite having been a fan of theirs since I was in high school, I have never gotten to see them in concert. It also appears that her favorite industrial band, 16 Volt has re-formed and is playing in Seattle soon too. I don't really know them but we share a lot of the same tastes in music and she says she thinks I'll like it so I'm probably gonna go check that out too, I'm always down to go check out some new shit, even if in reality it's kinda old shit.
Besides that, nothing to report here, I've been watching random movies here and there, going through all my music and trying to listen to stuff I have been leaving neglected for too long, trying to get more exercise too, blah, blah, blah. But really that's about it.
