in celebration of easter, better known around my place as "zombie jesus day", i decided to turn off all the lights in my apartment and watch jesus camp. alone.

i have never seen a scarier film, much less a documentary. or depressing. not even documentaries about the holocaust.

this shit is crazy.
rey7james:
I watched it about 2 months ago - I could not agree with you more.....

Wow that is funny, I was talking to someone in my public speaking class today and he told me about this film , he is doing a speech about how religion is taking over the country and the issues that will rise from it. He was telling me how outrageous this film is I had never heard about it but twice in a day, im gonna have to watch it now where can I find it.

last night i played a show. it was pretty fun, seeing as i got to have my best friend open for me, my voice was rock solid, and the organ came along for some fun. also, one of my favorite professors came, as well as the mystery boy.

(who is less of a mystery now that i learned his name.)

has anyone else noticed that...

spring break was awesome! recorded six whole songs for Cellar Door, worked a lot, and hung out with friends. even got to go on a road trip to houston.

this morning, i woke up at 7am, took a shower, got some coffee, and headed to the southside of town. sat in traffic for an hour, got to my destination, transferred dinosaurs and cars, chatted...

note to self:

invite someone over to the apartment, simply so that they can see the gallon jug of mysterious green liquid in the fridge.

another note to self:

iced mate is delicious! mad props on making a gallon of it. my brain will be huge!

i'm in the middle of mid-terms. i like to call this time period "mid-mid-terms(-terms)". the apartment is in "meltdown-mode",...

man, i need a gallon of matte. two, actually.
one for the spring cleaning i'm about to do over my break,
and one to get me through the rest of the semester.
well, better make that 3 or 4.
actually, i think my plans look a lot like yours, except for recording an album.
but i would like to do a song or two with my friend john.
good luck with your mid-terms, and that jason mraz thing. biggrin

Last night, I pulled my first all-nighter of the semester. My record for the highest number of all-nighters in one semester is 11. Lowest is 5. Average is 7-8. So last night was #1, which gets more depressing the earlier it is in the semester, and I think week #3 is pretty sad.

But here's the kicker: I spent all night reading Descartes' "Discours de...

Last night marked the best Cellar Door show yet. The mix was awesome, plenty of friends from work came, I sounded great and got good & sloshed after I got off stage.

The only bad part of the evening was how I asked a friend to re-park my car, as I had parked illegally just to load my stuff. He parked decently close, but proceeded...

I just slept for a good 14 hours. I think something is wrong. I had the day off from work yesterday and was supposed to go play an open mic with a friend, but instead opted to sleep forever.

I have a "job dialogue" today, which basically consists of some hilarious paperwork & talking to my boss in order to get a raise. I feel...

Hello, sleepyhead.

Oh wait, that's me. I slept for 13 hours yesterday. Seriously.

I've mostly been working & studying. School's up in full swing. I'm spending my Saturday night drinking down coffee & reading some Nietzsche.

And btw, Saeta's new set is up. Total hottness. Can you believe I get to hang out with her?

Jealous much?

& if you've been surfing my interests...

So of course I'm going to peruse ya when you mention it. Do they still air Pete & Pete or are you just paying tribute to it's greatness? Oh, and I dig Matt's speed racer costume, definitely makeoutable.

LOVE & HATE

LOVE:

- My Brightest Diamond - Has anyone heard this album, "Bring Me the Workhorse"? Geezuz, Shara's voice is as good as it ever was. Here comes my claim-to-fame-story: when I was 15, I played a short series of shows with Shara before she had a band & still went by AwRy. These were my first ever shows. Whenever I'm feeling...
