Anybody miss me? I'm probably just fading out of site in SG world as my life has gone in a different direction.

I am a staff writer for an increasingly big website right now (which mostly involves interviewing fairly famous people... heh).

One of my dirty stories will be published in "Best Lesbian Erotica 2013" published by Cleis press this December. Give it a read,...

Yet again, I MOVED. It's true. It happened. Now I live between a major river and some major train tracks. This is a temporary situation so I can finish my big work stuff.

I am looking into going abroad for awhile... or making a major move. So drawn to PDX. Over and over. Just haven't been able to get myself to do it-- why?! I...

Remember once upon a time when I used to blog on SG? Oh, those were the dayyyss. Ha.

I have been in a serious state of transition and sort of struggling with it all. I really can't stand small towns; I am not cut out even for a temporary stint.

Since I've moved:

I have not won at trivia, ever.
I've started a local women's...

Sorry about the bad stuff, and for only now noticing this post.

I have a new job, still with the state but working for a different agency. Any new job is stressful, but it's going fairly well. I'm racing this year (after a decade's hiatus), although a combination of multiple rain-outs and some mechanical issues have caused me to only make one race night thus far.

Glad to have you back in this country! Hope the good stuff wins the day. smile

Happy birthday to me, I'm 1/4 century.

Also, last night, my team sort of sucked at trivia but we had fun ANYWAY. smile

Disclaimer: I am wickedly sloppy/out of practice on the guitar.
Also....... they were all recorded as voice memos in my iPhone... HA. Go on.

PS
I don't consider myself a hell of a musician. I just like...

Sometimes, I feel wayyyyy too old to be on SG.

I just saw Susan Sarandon on Craig Ferguson's show, flirting like a kid and being sexy as hell. She's considerably older than me, which is saying something. shocked

You never have to shoot another SG set if you don't want to. If there's behind-the-scenes melodrama here, you can just blithely ignore it. But there are some real positive aspects of this place. The overall community is more engaged and functional than most social websites. Simply by being a SG, you have a built-in audience for anything you care to say, any cause you wish to support.

Even if you view this site differently than in the past, I think there are some good reasons not to pack up and leave town. smile

78walk, you are indeed right. There are great advantages to being on here-- but sometimes I'm just... baffled.

Also, one of my brothers and I used to play baseball with Susan Sarandon's kid or step-kid or whatever he is. She came to our little league games now and then, and she was gorgeous gorgeous then, as she is now. smile

I MADE YOU A VIDEO!
But then my phone died, so I can't upload it yet... Yes, it is in my phone.

I keep fucking up my knuckles. Kinda looks a little bit awesome, but also, girls keep thinking I'm much more a trouble maker than I really am. Not sure what I think about this.

Also, I NEED TO FUCKING MOVE.
Where should I...

I spent today channeling my inner Glenn Danzig. Crunchy, dark, heavy, melodramatic, supernatural, low-tempo, demon-crooning. Also, I was hanging out with my black cat. Very clearly a Danzig day, in the apocalyptic snowstorm. One day, I *will* share some of this music. YEA RIGHT! Ha.

Also, a scathing little bit of poetry about someone I knew once upon a time is being published.

Last night...

For my quarter-century birthday, I want...
... to borrow my dad's accordion (he already said I can) and learn to play (I just know the very very basics)
... for someone to buy me an acoustic guitar
... Zero pints of green beer (I am right before St-Pat's so I inevitable celebrate that weekend)

this summer while on a beach bike ride into town we happened upon a really accomplished accordian player randomly playing in a parking lot. he played us 3 very complicated hungarian songs while we rode our bikes around him. one of the most surreal and beautiful moments of my life.
