nicely done. I like it. No stranger to the GEEtar I see. My internet connection is terrible though, it kept buffering and stopping and loading. So i'd start to get into it and then it would just cut out, pissed me off. I guess I'll just wait till it gets released on Sony records, :-)
I hate to make this comment... but it's the audio engineer in me... a lot of sound recordings accent the "s" in vocals and there's a technique used for taking out the "s"... it's called a d-ser. If you go in to record at a studio or have someone record you with professional equipment... ask them to D-S your vocals and it'll take away that accent on the "s". Just a little suggestion... sounds great though!!! ^_^ And the recording quality of the video is astounding. Keep in mind I'm not saying that you're just insane on the "S" sounds... it's just the recording that accents it and happens with lots of vocalists especially in your style of music. As said, sounds great! Keep making good music!!!!!!
Really good song--I liked it a lot! You occasionally seem to try to cram a little too much into each line--maybe it's just the phrasing, I don't know--Bruce Springsteen did this on his first album. Joni Mitchell was the master at doing this effectively--if there's a line you want to extend, maybe you could throw an extra change in there (switching to a minor?) or something if it's important to get that lyric in.
Tossing in an extra bar is admittedly an eccentric way of writing, and can be hard to pull off, but if the lyric is important to you then it can act almost as a hook, throwing off the listener's expectations a little, adding a little musical interest so all the verses aren't quite identical musically. Anyway, I think it sounds better than rushing your syllables.
But definitely do what you want! Sorry, just interested!
I will come back and listen to all of these again later; if I tried to do it now, I would just cry my f'ing eyes out. You, and your beautiful voice will be missed, sweet angel. <3
