Having lived in Louisiana for a little while with relatives when I was a kid, to head over to Mississippi was like night and day. Didn't help that I was a 'halfie'. Yes. Someone actually asked me if I was that once.

All I know is... California ain't so bad. I've tried other states but nothing compares. Not that I had a say on where my parents wanted to move, or how those not-so-ideal experiences didn't make me a stronger person, but we never should have left in the first place.
