It's not weird. Blind people easily identify people they know by the sounds they make when they walk. The rest of us don't have to rely on that, but we often do.

The stair thing is soo funny. When I was a kid I could so tell who was coming up the stairs be it my mom or dad. Just as a side not your lingerie in your new set is sexy as hell. You look amazing.
