I used to be the one that was waiting, waiting, waiting for the time to come to turn my life around. Not that it was horrible; it just needed an energetic spark to place it in motion. It's the difference between having an average job and taking a chance by quitting to find the super-awesome-fun-dance-party job. It's the difference between going over and over some thought in your head and actually putting pen to paper to computer. Write the idea down that is worthwhile for others to read and gain value from. Go to the club and dance even though you know you are about as coordinated as a drunken circus clown.

I waited through relationship after relationship watching the calendar turn. I lost the best person and best friend in the world after she decided she just couldn't wait with me anymore. I know that was the spark that did it, looking back. I wish it hadn't come at such a high price. Now I have the great job, friends, and hobbies that I had always strove for and more importantly the motivation to keep pursuing higher goals.

All the internal motivation in the world sometimes can't change your course. Sometimes events have to happen to you in order for your drive to kick in. Do your best, and if it isn't enough be thankful for the life changing events that are beyond your control that force change. They may hurt like hell, but they may be the spark you need.
