Sometimes I find myself still responding with “I’m 21” when people ask me my age- but in some kind of weird reality- I’m 28.
Recently I’ve heard over the radio that certain pop groups and songs have been celebrating “20 year anniversaries” such as Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls, etc. Which seriously makes me feel old because I remember the moment those CDs came out, the Spice World movie came out on VHS, etc.
While I don’t have kids myself it also makes me feel old to see my friends kids getting older. And not only that but to see these ridiculous toys they play with! Is everything seriously Poop themed!? 😅
Most days I take pride in being the “old lady” in the group of my friends. I much rather be at home having a glass of wine and watching Family Feud then going out to a club and my bed time is about 9pm, give or take!
My whole life I’ve always been termed an “old soul” so I guess feeling old doesn’t really come as a shock to me too often. I tend to embrace my old lady habits, though I do wish time would slow down, just a bit!
