I was very sneaky about it.

I never read anything by Patrick McGrath...
i don't read nearly as much as i used to.
"Spider" was an interesting film, more of a character study about mental illness and how certain things in our childhood cripple us in some ways and stunt our emotional growth.
I liked it, but i didn't love it.
Its not a typical Cronenberg film but worth a view.
Then again..... is there really a typical Cronenberg film? biggrin
who is that woman?
Thats not Famke is it?
shellymc:
yes! i think you nailed it...
Do you know that i have yet to see "Shivers" (They came from within)?
I've always wanted to, but never had an easy time finding it.
kenyon:
that woman (above) has brilliant cheekbones.

haven't moved yet, probably won't until early april . . . i'm going to let the boi move in first and make it sort of habitable before i transfer my feeble self over there. i need to make sure there are at least a lot of couches and a bed in place.
shellymc:
I'll do my best!
i'm off to work, have a good day biggrin
salome:
That looks AMAZINGLY like my good friend and awe-inspiring goddess Mistress Natalya
kenyon:
i like to think of myself as a consumptive courtesan wink
ladymaze:
Well, then, you just have to find yourself a nice cook, and always offer to do the dishes after dinner!

I saw some of his first prints at a downtown Phoenix art gallery a few years ago. He became involved with the local goth/industrial scene shortly thereafter. Mostly because one of the galleries hosted Sadisco*. At least I believe that to be the reason/whereabouts. Not exactly sure. Aside from the fact that he's was already into that music beforehand. Anyhow, I saw a post of his on LiveJournal in a loca artist community where he was looking for models. I responded. The rest, as they say, is history! I'd met him at the gallery at Sadisco* & at a fundraising event hosted at the gallery for Katrina evacuees also. smile I do like his work a lot. I was terribly disappointed that I didn't make it to that premiere showing on Friday. I've been under the weather with sinusitis- again. frown
kenyon:
thanks, dear. smile

I think her old boy is the one in need of counciling.

I've heard of roleplaying by getting your wife to dress in her school uniform, but making her dress in your uniform then perform in front of literally tens of people over the years is a real perverts idea of fun!

And to think they were employed by the BBC...it makes you wonder.
shellymc:
All three of those films are definitely creepy!
I love the exorcist especially....
I'm a huge fan of Ellen Burstyn and i was so disappointed she didn't get the oscar that time for "Requiem for a dream".
She broke my heart in that one.
As for Woody Allen, i do like a handful of his films, but i'm not a huge fan.
Some of his stuff is a little overrated...
just my opinion though.
However, i really enjoyed "Bullets...."
That cast seemed to just really play well off each other.
Have a great weekend!
