Yes, there's a story behind it! My birth name is Mabia and people used to call me mabi or mabiz because my sister is Mabiana and her best friend was Mabily. I needed another name because we were 3 mabis. So if you scramble mabiz you have zambi, that's how a friend gave me this nickname.
As time goes by, I got really involved into African Brasilian Religion known as Umbanda. Umbanda became a secret religion because it was full of miths according to the gods and goddesses from the nature, they are called orixás and give you the vibes and protection from Mother Nature. Catholics and almost all of the so-called Christians refute this religion for not being monotheist.
In Umbanda, for example, Iemanja is the goddess from the seas, she helps sailors and fishmen against storms, also fill our hearts with the ocean strength!
Zambi is the supreme God, the last and the first of his/her name. I got shocked when I discovery about that, and how gorgeous is my name Mabia which I can interchangeably use as Zambi, it matches perfectly and I think there might me a mystic reason for that! Thanks to my Mom for being so tricky! That's Zambi in the picture!
