tadzi:
(to answer the question) i think its because most ameircans think italian=sicilian. im sure there are a few sicilians who are blond or have blue eyes as well, but still...
calina:
that movie is on my list of things to see. however, I have heard that is is very gorey. and, the gore is not so bad for me. I, too, tend to get a little turned off by the sounds of tortured screaming.
like, there are not too many things that freak or even gross me out, especially when it comes to sick, twisted thrillers or murders. sometimes, it's kind of frightening why it doesn't bother me. but, it's when I come close to things such as tortured screaming is when it gets a little more unbearable. I wonder how I will par through this movie....?

i totally agree with you, too about the way americans see any culture that is not american. call it "shallow" or "uneducated"- either way it just goes to show how dumb some americans really are. it's like you are either white, black, chinese or mexican. or, sometimes, just white or black. i grew up with that stupidity all the time. it just goes to show how few americans actually travel abroad.
theredbaron:
You should have stayed it out. Watching the bad guys buy it in the end is really gratifying.

My boyfriend wanted to see Hostel really bad, and I actually paid for his roommate's ticket so I wouldn't have to go see it. I'm glad I didn't.
