i understand completely, even though i'm not one of the unlubricated local friends who get the sex.. i have lived in jax for 20 1/2 years of my 22 year old existance i love jacksonville for so many more reasons than you listed.. jax is what you make of it.. if you think jacksonville sucks then it's only cause you make it suck for yourself.. there's tons to do and lots of fun to be had you just have to work shit out on your own.. and there is tons of artistic inspiration to be had through all of it.. hope you are having a great new year too!

Whats wrong with the rebel flag flying, inbread, slipper wearing in public westsiders? I happen to think they are a charming bunch with a wonderful outlook on life and impeccable manners!

Just kidding..... ! I particularly like their loud obnoxious bubba trucks that are 10 feet off the ground covered in mud.

I have lived here in Jacksonville all of my life and personally think that this place has come around a bit in the last year or so, but agree that it mostly sucks......TROPICAL Hell hole.
