...less dancing than being chased,
by a man in a tribal mask with a sword and scarves.
vaulted ceiling and forgotten corridors. flying down impossibly long flights of stairs.
somehow i'm a hero.
...in a crowd where noone know who i am. fliers with another mans face.
two girls greet each other with hugs, my arms around them both. then i am holding one, her arms thrown around my neck. her eyes are green. alone in a crowd of people, i ask her how she got there, but she doesn't know. we call it fate.
we kiss.
i've almost lost her to distraction. she's alone in a town unfamiliar. i was supposed to be there.apologies pour over the phone but i can't see her face. she's hurt and i feel like dying.
now i'm waiting for her on a park bench on a hill.
