The power is out!
Power to the 6 blocks surrounding my home has been out since before 4am this morning. (That's when my alarm went off.)
And I am loving it.
Not being able to shower kinda sucks, but we made a fire (1st use of the fireplace in 8 months!) and cooked up some quesadillas on the coleman stove in the back porch. It's like camping at home!
The woodsmoke smell and walking around indoors with my carharts on has me really pining for Fairbanks. I am also really pissed that, in Washington, I have to pay a dollar per pound for wood when I used to get it $40 for a chord, delivered. Yuppie bastards.
Took a break from the rustic life to come down to the coffeeshop and do my daily internet business and charge my cell.
Hope this weekend is interesting. I need to get some candles.
