The depression you speak of, is it like on December 26?
On another topic, you mentioned seeing the Scofflaws before, do you ever listen to the Allstonians? They have a similiar sound and digging one usually means you'd like the other.
The Allstonians (from Allston, MA, oddly) were one of the first Ska bands I ever heard. They played a few times in one of the bars at my college. (I had to go to Western NY to see a band from my hometown)
>Sort of, but not quite. Its hard to explain. My graduate school career hasn't exactly gone according to plan. I know most don't, but mine was a particularly bad case.
I think I can relate some what. I went though all manner of ridiculous stuff while working on my Japanese degree. (none of it my fault) By the end there were lawyers and senators involved.
When the whole thing was over, I could only step back and look at the whole package of experiences as a surreal dream.
At any rate, have a great time at the show. See if you can't get some pics of the King of Ska.
Hey thanks for the support. And thanks for the Dekker review. Did you see the write-up on the San Francisco Hepcat show? It's cool to see people writing about bands.
Speaking of which, I put up a bit about Melt Banana on the music boards. Somebody gave me a little grief because someone else already mentioned Melt Banana before, but it's the most response I've ever had to a music review. I don't know if you've ever listened to them, but they are worth checking out.
Yeah, I've never been to a Ska show where the crowd was lousy. It makes me a little sad inside to hear of it. Sure, some have been a little too crowded to dance as freely as one would like, but nobody was jerky about it.
I've never really been into getting punched, even when I was young and angry. I usually stayed out of the heart of the "pit".
BA Baracus is proud of you. Somewhere, he's shedding a tear of joy!
I'm sure I'll have more Qs re: your science stuff later....I gotta go finish my pump homework problems now!
