So been an eventful few weeks. I spent 2 weeks in the northern part of our country where apparently winter doesn't happen. It was 32C there the one day! That's midsummer temps for where I live. Anyway so I was over there doing some work on a diamond mine in the middle of the bush, when the miners go on strike. We've been having pretty violent strikes here over the last month or so, the mine called in extra security. Yeah that didn't work... On the first day of the strike I was thrown with rocks, sticks and had people yell lovely remarks at me. Despite our recent democratic past this country is still very much racially divided, and that goes for both sides. Got some pics of the whole event from a distance they are crap quality though, so I'm not gonna post pics of violent protests.

So yeah after a few bruises on the ribs thanks to flying rocks, tons of heat and two weeks of no internet and TV I'm back at home this week. Thank Odin's beard. In two weeks I'm flying to Austria for a week to go do some work there, should be interesting since I've never been to Europe, kinda looking forward to seeing the old country.
