Well, we were 1 for 2 with electricians today... the early one showed on time, and gave an estimate. Of course they didn't listen when I said "install an outlet and a switch," so they gave a price that sounded really nice, till I realized they were just talking about the outlet, and asked about the switch. Then they said, "oh, you want a switch, too?" and gave a higher price. Which they then revised downward if we would have them do the work "right now."
We didn't really have time for that today, as a couple of major projects have to be done today. So we sent them away with the slightly higher (but still lower than the very first one) estimate in our hands on paper.
The noon electrician called right before noon to reschedule. I didn't even ask the reason, just rescheduled it for tomorrow at noon. We'll see what our stats are tomorrow.
Also we asked 3rd Alley's drummer last night if he had a referral to an electrician. Since he did so well with the accountant he sent us to. Turns out he does know someone, and tried to call them last night, but got no answer. We told him if he wants to put us in touch with that person, we're looking for the first person to give us the best price. Wherever it comes from.
The voucher for the kitten's spaying came today... amazing how the mail can get something here right away at times and be so slow other times. I called to move up the spaying appointment, and tomorrow had gotten booked up, but we're doing it Thursday instead of Friday. Sooner the better on that too.
