58hrs and still hadn't completed the primary project by deadline BUT it was completed today and everyone seemed happy thus far...
hadn't pulled hours like this since I was managing... a lot easier when one is younger, that's for sure :)
aye, I admit, it's not as if I have family waiting for me at home, but still!
the spawnlings surprised me this weekend by it being a "no game weekend," meaning they didn't bring their little game devices with them
they're so demn creative, they kept themselves more than amused *smirks*
we had our usual reading time(s) as well, which I'm always adamant about
and they were only mildly disappointed that the new bluray player I picked up doesn't have netflix/hulu/pandora/etc. on it... yet
I need to pick up a cord to connect it to the computer - the only bluray player was wireless but it wouldn't eject/play discs anymore - both of which kinda come in handy for its primary purpose, neh ?
Satyr's Day was supposed to be the day to make the move into the new offices, but lo and behold! the offices aren't finished by their deadline
( lots of unhappy people about that one... don't think these guys will ever get return business with all the issues coming up already with the unfinished offices )
so instead the Great Migration will occur on the 1st - but we're still hoping to get a lot moving in before then... hoping *crossing fingers*
whatever happens, no worries - though I'm sure the neighbours would like to move into the space we're abandoning for them - and soon
ANYways... as people in fb and SG may have already noticed, I've continued with the mini-video posts that I first did when on vaca in SD
figure it won't be much, it'll likely be annoying, boring, or just weird, but hey, it's not like it hurts anything...
did the last post on my laptop, which weirdly had poor sound compared to my should've-been-long-replaced digital camera ( which is weird )
*shrugs* I'm not tech master, but maybe I'll figure it out at some point - think it was picking up background noise more than the noise in front of it
so... there ya go. I'm gonna rest, watch flicks, and find sustenance to appease the growling beast within
Farethee Well For Now, My Lovelies And Gentlefolk !!
weeks of twits ::
9/3 :
back from spending time at Hyland Park with the spawnlings...
9/4 :
yes, I have a celphone ( my 'e-cel' ) that select few know
no, I rarely turn it on ( seldom if I'm home and I NEVER bring it to work )
9/6 :
helluva light show and heavy, pouring rain - should be a 'fun' walk into work /sarcasm/ - at least no more leaking in bathroom/otherwise :)
9/6 II :
'He who controls the spice, controls the chicken' ( excerpt from the food wars of 2116 )
... I'm torn 'tween Popeyes & KFC, I like 'em both
9/7 :
in a mere two days I've been called both a Stealth Thom and Ninja Thom at work, as I'm suddenly there when they need me/are about to call me
9/9 :
finally the school down the block's football game is over so I can crash... seriously, they had their speakers louder than usual *sigh/Oi!*
9/10 :
yeesh - there really aren't Sat Morning Cartoons anymore... just infomercial after infomercial, but thankfully(?) I found classic Batman TV
9/10 II :
s'pose it's time t'get ready for work, not often I come in on a Satyr's Day but have a lot t'get done before the office moves next weekend
9/10 III :
don't like my opinion ? convince me otherwise with Fact and Proof - "but the [bible] says" or "but [N0bama] says" is purposeful ignorance
9/10 IV :
I do believe that shortly I shall enjoy this lovely eve and walk on down to the New Hope Cinema Grill to catch me some Ghostbusters :)
9/13 :
my eldest officially has no more baby teeth - even her hanging fang :) - & the ex saved/welcomed their newest household member, kitten Ash
9/13 II :
a black cat crossing my path? that's pretty cool... a dark rat, however, I'm not entirely certain how I should take... *ponders*
9/16 :
55hr week, plus gonna pop in tomorrow before girls arrive for weekend... not sure if it's record hours this decade, but gotta be close
*demn* new blu ray player isn't wireless - will have t'pick up a 15-20ft ethernet/lan cable next week... can still run over TV via computer
9/18 :
*amused* someone actually tried to argue that it's impossible to go 9mths without sex: darlin', it's been since '07 - when I last had teeth
9/19 :
political ad after political ad is "my opponent said/did/supports this/that" ... you want MY vote, tell me what YOU are going to do/support
