don't worry, I'll return with more under the 43 "banner" for the 5th year of these bloody things *grins*
just this weekend with my lovely spawnlings followed by two days of work and then it's roadtrip time, baby!
can't remember if I mentioned, but I picked up an "e-cel" ( emergency celphone ) for the trip, just in case - Oi! me, with a celphone, even an emergency one... scary, neh?
I'll be starting off the trip with a little northwestern bit to see an old friend near where I grew up, followed by a minor aside easterly to see another old friend...
and then it's off southwesterly into SD and into a domain I've ne'er travelled before :)
aye, this should be a fun trip... it's been since the '90s the last time I did a roadtrip of any calibre, and then it was solely within Minnesota or a mile thereof... not exactly exciting, I'm afraid
but it's ne'er too late to create new memories and enjoyment, is it ?
*grins happily*
I've a few things to do before the trip itself and I should create my usual checklist so that I don't forget something that'll end up being important
( when you're excited, it's easy to forget essential things, neh ? )
otherwise, well - by gods, we are ready for this, I do say !
...plus it'll be a good escape from the everyday mundanity as well as the media-instilled inanity that clouds nigh e'er day the news and social media
*sigh*
ANYways - I'd best get this Nest o'mine prepped a bit for my darlin' daughters and anything else I may do to prepare for the upcoming roadtrip as well :)
catch you next time, my lovelies and gentlefolk !
the twittage! ::
7/1 :
crashin' for the eve... hopefully tomorrow's anniversary slips by fast and I keep busy enough so that it flies by without a single tear...
7/2 :
a sudden bang in entryway scared 7 hells outta me... upper casing/trim popped off & the closer bolted to it! door opens/closes, but demn!
don't consider it an emergency, so I'll just call the office tomorrow about it... but *yeesh* sudden heart attack
7/3 :
last thoughts for the eve, now that fireworks/music've died out:
lovelies, if someone says your skirt couldn't be shorter, prove 'em wrong!
7/4 :
if it looks like chicken and tastes like chicken, then I think there's something wrong with this steak, demn it!
godfuck me jesus, a bug as big as my thumb stuck in the hallway window just scared the 7 hells outta me... fuckin' thing still moving, too!
7/6 :
not the best day to go walking in a leather vest... gorgeous day, mind you - just not for that in particular *whew/stripping off clothes*
by this time next week I'll be knee-deep in vacation... (wow) crazy how days seem to go slow then suddenly !!BAM!! the days are flying by!
7/7 :
I used to be a cunning linguist, but my conjugation's not up to scratch
7/7 II :
"DE is Denmark, right?"
nope - Germany
( odd look )
for Deutschland
( weird look )
German for Germany
( raises eyebrow )
the language there
7/8 :
those who shoot officers, vandalize, steal, and destroy public property are NOT protesters NOR are their actions protesting - it's CRIME.
7/8 II :
"you can't judge a [m]ovement on the actions of groups of criminals in them"
but it's ok to judge the nation's PD by a couple of officers?
7/8 III :
'it's only some minor property damage and poor action conducted by some protesters that became disruptive'
ok, y'know what: fuck. that. >:(
7/8 IV :
watching Dario Argento's Inferno, drinking Mike's Hard Cranberry Lemonade ( with Sweet Tea "chaser" ), eating pectin candies, licorice, and Pringles, and I'm nekkid...
what's YOUR excuse ? ;)
