lately, I've been having "lottery" dreams - where I've won a lottery and this-or-that happens in utterly absurd ways
'course, the likelihood of my winning a lottery is unbelievably low... since I don't actually buy lottery tickets
nonetheless, sometimes the wishful thinking is kinda fun!
as I've mentioned before, I know I could live comfortably off of 1$million for 25yrs - that's 40$K a year... more than a make a year now!
since I'm a cheapska... er, frugal... I would have more of an issue with money building up than being spent ( yeah, what a problem to have, neh? )
when I was with the ex-wife, I had stated that if ever falling into money, there'd be a spending limit ( beyond bills ) of 100$/day - well under the 40$K/year.
I know, it sounds absurd and silly, but I'm accustomed to the semi-simple life and the only thing I'd want to change is having a home-type-residence rather than an apartment-residence.
( I like my apartment complex, but an actual home would be an intriguing change with more space for the boxes upon boxes )
work-wise, well... I like my job, I do! I doubt I could ever stop working unless I was able to come up with something to bide my time with...
hells, having a 3day weekend with nothing to do nearly drives me friggin' mental - imagine months! I'd be in a mental ward in no time flat !!
which is going to be funny considering my upcoming vaca-time without actual plans or places to go affordably - Oi!
May 17th - 23rd & July 13th - 19th ... *whew*
it's not that I wouldn't like going somewhere, it's just that I can't bloody afford it
- and technically I took my yearly vaca in January when I went to Nevada-Arizona with my fathre, so my next yearly vaca isn't until 2017
ANYways...
all in all, even if I became a lottery-millionaire, I'm still necessities-driven vs luxuries-driven ( though, yes, I love my music and movies, as my collections proclaim )
I don't have cable/satellite, because I don't need it nor want it
I don't have a vehicle, because it's unaffordable and seldom could utilize one ( cheaper to rent a car that once or twice a year I could use one )
admittedly, if I became a lottery-millionaire, I'd probably get a vehicle - like a Jeep, love me them Jeeps :)
then I could satisfy my wanderlust and actually travel for a bit - I've been hardly anywhere within this country ( and nowhere internationally )
a co-worker mentioned relatives and 'friends' coming out of the woodwork - which may happen, yes...
the good thing about that is that I already know full-well who I can trust and who I can't
after all, who was there in my worst times, who helped me out when I needed it? I know who those people are and know the ones who most definitely were not.
so I really wouldn't have any qualms hanging up on relatives or 'friends' who suddenly were begging for a share but hindered rather than helped me or just didn't care.
hells, there's true-friends that I've already helped out when I scarcely could and they would get more help, whether they asked or not...
some of them I consider my actual family vs blood-family... there are few relatives I trust, sadly. and fewer still that I'd give more than a buck to if needed.
ANYways... basically, even if I somehow won a lottery I'd unlikely be changing by much other than asshats thinking I'm an asshole ;)
and that's all I've got for this sometimes-weekly stipend of inanity... enjoy the rest of your weekend/week/brand new month, my lovelies and gentlefolk !

I learned this week that 'pastel' is a colour, not just a candy...
I'm concerned with the lack of creativity in the naming of colours...
