Cold! I can't imagine standing in there with a kilt on. Is it easy to play and shiver at the same time?

Just wanted to comment on a few things. First, good luck with your paper. Writing assignments suck and can be quite tedious. I however, happen to enjoy them and love doing anything English related. I am in graduate school actually studying to become a college professor. I have a Bachelor's in Psychology, so I can teach entry level psychology if I wanted. Or I could take some additional certification training after I get my teaching license and actually teach English because I have an Associates in English Literature. I still have three years of school to go through, so there is no need to rush and make a decision. The only thing I know for certain is that I want my future students to enjoy their learning experience just as I did all through school, due to having such awesome teachers. Secondly, getting old doesn't have to suck. Yes, we tend to have more aches and pains and more health problems, but with age comes experience and that is often an advantage in many areas. I will be 30 in October and I am dreading it. I feel so old and wish I was a young kid again. I do feel your anxiousness though, with starting the new diabetes medication. I happen to have Type II diabetes myself. For years, we tried several different medicines but in the end they decided diet and weight loss would be the most beneficial thing for me. I was quite overweight at one point and due to some additional health problems, I decided to have the lap-band procedure done. It is a lot safer than gastric bypass and you heal much quicker. The diet you must stick to isn't the most fun, but in the end it paid off. Now I am over 100 lbs lighter and no longer on medications for the diabetes. Although, it still causes me problems from time to time so I monitor it frequently usually testing my blood sugar up to four times a day. I also stick to a strict diet and count carbs frequently. I wish you the best of luck with this new medication, because I know it can be rough on your system trying to get it all under control. Good luck!

I play flute and I feel for you with the cold. We actually did a performance in Philly at Thanksgiving and it rained the whole time we were out there! I thought we were going to turn into popsicles! How did your exams go?
