Back on topic, the section I pulled that passage from is about the only politicized part of the book. A few pages earlier he states:

I think this would be a good time to say that I am not now nor have I ever been, nor will I ever be a C-mm-n-st. I don't know about C-mm-n-sm; they don't teach much about it in American schools. I do know what I've read in newspapers and books (including K-rl M-rx's), and I don't think I would like it. Therefore let me go on record once and for all: Fuck C-mm-n-sm.

Hell, Chapter Two is one word--fuck--followed by nine pages of footnotes (one of which is nothing but "fuck" typed 504 times).

I like this book. biggrin Want to borrow it when I'm done?

syh:
Correction--this is a heavily-politicized book. I just started his chapters on the '60s.
